HYBRYDS Live At the pagan festival: " Menua Juodaragnis" - Vilnius, Lithouwen -

We are happy to announce the 9th yearly neofolk/darkwave festival M_NUO JUODARAGIS will take place on the last weekend of Summer (26-28 August) in the magic woods of Kernav Town, but not the same location as last year. MJR 2005 will quite differ from previous festivals in its audience, which is planned to be smaller and more elect, although the programme will remain rich and intriguing.
We will witness the exclusive musical performances from HYBRYDS (Be), ROMOWE RIKOITO (Pr), KRATONG (Pr), ÄLYMYSTÖ (Fin), NEVERDICE (Fin), Aist_ & grup_ SKYL_ (Lt), K_LGRINDA (Lt), _OVA (Lt), DONIS (Lt), WEJDAS (Lt), GIRN_ GIESM_S (Lt), SALA (Lt), SOVIJUS (Lt), LAUXNA LAUKSNA (Lt), GOETHEANUM (Lt), ENSEMBLE SP (Lt), GYS (Lt), DRAMA (Lt), ANDAJA (Lt), DRIEZHAS (Lt), PIEVOS (Lt) and other artists, also archaic songs, folk dances, rituals, tribal drumming, raving DJ, crafts, lectures, films and workshops exploring contemporary heathen culture and esoteric subjects.

As insiders know I am not allowed to fly anymore, last time was years ago to a festival in Sweden. They had to knock me down because I was strangling the pilot to put his plane down.
So I always travel by train, I love it, trains are wonderful machines, but this time it was easier by buss. Except you can not walk in a buss like you can on a train, so I was a bit stiff, after 30 hours buss driving, arriving 5 hours to late in Vilnius on Thursday evening.
They came to get me by car, and somewhere in the neighborhood of Kernave we just entered the bush, for 5 km there was nothing than woods and a very small sandy road. It was dark and we finally arrived and I could get out of the car, I could not see anything, only a pounding sound coming closer out of the dark; 2 eyes of fire, were suddenly standing before me. I thought it was Ceberius but it turns out to be:GELE ! .... An immense white dog but incredible nice.
After I put my gear in the artist’s house, I was invited to take a sauna at the small lake. Better than a shower in the hotel. This was a private festival on the private place of "the landlord" a mythical figure. Maximum 300 people were allowed to get a ticket.
Friday morning, I slept wonderful; I think it is the super clean air. The first tents of the audience were already build on the festival, It was a bit cold and rainy, but before it was evening and most of the audience was there, Külgrinda was performing there ancient rituals and the sun broke down , and stayed as long as tthe festival, here are still Gods & goddesses living , listening to the humans, nice...
Around 24 hours it was time to perform;Hybryds
Although the PA was very good, I was not so pleased about the sound of my performance, it seems i will have to hire a mixing man again.
All that cames out of my mixingdesk, sounds fine but somewhere the sound was clipped for the audience, a pity .
Anyway I stayed a bit longer on stage and jammed with ENSEMBL SP into the night,although I had the feeling there were no people listening anymore.
What can I say more? After my gig it is "holiday" for me, enjoying the bands, the people, the nature.
The only thing I can not understand is why there is no meat to eat on such alternative festivals. The second day I felt very weak, but the organisation saved me , by driving me to a restaurant for a Lithian steak.
The day after I even was rescued with meat by some friendly festival visitors
This was one of my most magical feelings I have experienced .
The walk in the woods, the excellent plants growing there, the friendly people ( almost everone speaks english)and the clean air to breath..And ofcourse my hoast from the DANGUS if you want the most captivating ritual music ,check hem out.
I want to go back, and take revenge with a mixingman.
